Freshers Orientation of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Fall 2024

On October 22nd, the Department of EEE warmly welcomed our newest batch at the EEE Freshers Orientation - Fall 2024!

The program, organized by the Department of EEE with support from the ULAB Electronics and Robotics Club and IEEE RAS ULAB Student Branch Chapter, brought together freshers, faculties, current students, alumni, administrative and laboratory officers.

The event started with an introductory session by Dr A B M Sayeed Ud Doulah, Associate Professor and Course Coordinator, who introduced the department, its programs, faculties, and facilities. This was followed by an inspiring speech from Dr. S.M. Mahbubur Rahman, Head of the Department and Dean of the School of Science and Engineering. Special guest Dr Md. Shofiqul Islam, our adjunct faculty and Associate Professor at King Abdulaziz University shared some words of encouragement as well. Two students—an alumnus now serving as GTA and a current undergraduate—shared their experiences, offering freshers a glimpse into our supportive and dynamic learning environment.

To wrap up, the freshers received a little welcoming gift, followed by a group photo session. The orientation concluded with a brief introduction to the clubs and their activities, sparking excitement for students to get involved.
