ULAB EEE and ETE Departments Organized EEE Fest 2019

The departments of EEE and ETE, and ULAB Electronics Club at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) recently jointly hosted an exciting event called ULAB EEE Fest 2019. The fest was held on September 5-6 on ULAB campus to encourage students' creativity and to enrich their technology knowledge. The event was open to university and college level students. Students from different universities have participated in Project Showcasing, Poster Presentation, Brain Teaser (Science Quiz), Game Fiesta, Tech Talk, Industry Conversation and Cultural Evening in the ULAB EEE Fest 2019. The first day started with the inauguration of the event on September 5. Professor Dr. H.M. Jahirul Haque, Vice Chancellor of ULAB, inaugurated the program. ULAB's EEE Department Chair Professor Dr. Samia Sabrina, ETE Department Chair Professor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, faculty members, students and participants were present there. On the first day of EEE Fest, students from other universities including Kuwait, Dhaka University, BRAC University, Southeast University participated in poster presentation and computer games competition - 'Game Fiesta'. The final day of the EEE Fest began on September 6 with Project Showcase. In this, students from different universities including MIST, UAP, Dhaka University, AIUB displayed their innovations. Another fun event of the day was the Brain Teaser, where students had to solve fun problems. The next events of the day were tech adda, and cultural evening. The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad from the CSE department of BUET, who has been instrumental in popularizing the Math Olympiad in Bangladesh. Professor Dr. S. M. Mahbubur Rahman from the EEE department of BUET, also the Registrar of BUET, was present as the special guest. Professor Dr. Shamasad Mortuza, Pro Vice Chancellor of ULAB, was also present at the closing ceremony. The guests distributed prizes among the winners in various competitions.
