ULAB EEE Students Visit BCSIR for Scientific and Industrial Research Exposure
Students from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), recently conducted a scientific and industrial research visit to the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR). The team was led by Dr. Md. Shahinur Rahman, PhD, Faculty Member of ULAB EEE. The team was received by Dr. Mohammad Shah Jamal, PhD, Principal Scientific Officer and Director (Additional Charge), IFRD Division, BCSIR.
The primary focus of the visit was to explore BCSIR’s advanced research facilities, particularly in the areas of solar energy, battery technologies, thin-film innovations, and various other energy research capabilities available in Bangladesh.
This visit provided students with a unique opportunity to observe and understand how fundamental scientific research translates into practical applications for national development. By engaging directly with BCSIR’s researchers and infrastructure, the students gained valuable insights into ongoing projects and potential avenues for collaboration.
ULAB students are expected to benefit from BCSIR’s research capabilities for their future academic research, higher education pursuits, and professional skill development. Such initiatives strengthen the bridge between academic knowledge and industry-driven innovation, preparing students to contribute effectively to Bangladesh’s energy and technological advancement.
