Professor Mahbubur Rahman, PhD, Appointed as Dean of SSE and Head of EEE at ULAB

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) is delighted to welcome Professor Mahbubur Rahman, PhD, as the new Dean of the School of Science and Engineering (SSE) and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).

Prof. Mahbub brings a distinguished track record of academic leadership and institutional service, with extensive experience from BUET, where he served in pivotal roles such as Registrar, Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor, and Professor of EEE. He is also a familiar face at ULAB, having previously served as Head of the EEE Department between 2016 and 2018.

A highly respected academician, Prof. Mahbub’s credentials include a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto, a PhD from Concordia University, and both MSc and BSc degrees in EEE from BUET. His scholarly contributions span numerous peer-reviewed international publications, research grants, and conference presentations, establishing him as a leading figure in the field.

ULAB is honored to have Prof. Mahbub return in this dual leadership role. His vision, dedication, and expertise will undoubtedly drive innovation, academic excellence, and strategic growth for the School of Science and Engineering and the Department of EEE.
