ULAB EEE Undergraduate Publishes in Q1 Journal on Renewable Energy
We are proud to share that Md. Sajid Hasan, an undergraduate student from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), has made a significant mark in the scientific community by publishing his first research article in a Q1-ranked journal.
The paper, titled βSmall-scale floating photovoltaic systems in university campus: A pathway to achieving SDG 7 goals in Bangladesh,β explores how universities can adopt floating solar technologies as a sustainable solution to address energy needs while contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 7 β Affordable and Clean Energy). This impactful study has been published in the prestigious journal Energy, under Elsevier.

Beyond his research achievements, Sajid also served as the Immediate Past Vice President of the ULAB Electronics and Robotics Club, where he led initiatives fostering student leadership and technological innovation. His research portfolio includes work on floating photovoltaic systems, hydrogen production, vehicle classification using deep learning, and agrophotovoltaics, reflecting his multidisciplinary focus.
Sajid actively collaborates with faculty across institutions and aspires to become a dedicated researcher contributing to the advancement of electronics, renewable energy, and sustainability.
